name='darrenburnfan']While it is true what Royal Mail say, that delivery of letters has gone down a lot since the advent of email, this has more than been made up for by the millions of items ordered online from amazon and many other places that now fill the postman's sack instead of letters. When our postman starts his round, his sack is just as full and heavy now as it would have been twenty years ago in the pre-internet age. Yes, we can all order items online at the click of a mouse and pay for them online, but, until they can find a way to make the items pop out of the computer screen and onto the carpet, they still have to be delivered personally by the postman.
