Never mind - a quick hunt on google, and I find it is the same place, and it's (apparently) Barrow Hills golf course, just south of Wentworth. Though it doesn't look much like most Home Counties golf clubs (and a further google reveals why)
Rather good, I thought.
Is the house that was used to stand in for "Green Hedges", Enid Blyton's home, the same one that has popped up in several other recent BBC productions (the MR James "View From a Hill" and, I think, "Spooks" last series)?
I understand it's on a former MOD estate in Surrey - but can anyone be more precise as to location?

The original Green Hedges in Beaconsfield was pulled down very soon after Enid Blyton died. It was situated near Bekonscot Model Village and there's no trace of it now. In fact I don't think one of her two daughters knew that it was going to be demolished.
Many know that I am quite a fan of Helena, and I loved this production
Another one for my DVD mountain I hope!

In the late 60s, we visited Bekonscot and, while we were waiting for the bus home, we noticed an old lady wandering about on her own. Shortly afterwards, a woman came up to us and asked if we'd seen an old lady only "Miss Blyton will keep wandering off"! My father showed her where she was.name='Wee Sonny MacGregor']The original Green Hedges in Beaconsfield was pulled down very soon after Enid Blyton died. But it was a while before we made the connection - even though I was an avid reader of her books and was carrying one to read on the bus!
I saw Enid and thought it was splendid.
It was a wonderful cast and script and Helena Bonham-Carter was superb.
