    Hi,



    can anyone provide any information about what happened to the school that was used in filming Roll on Four O'Clock for Granada TV.

    Cant help with the name of the school although I do think it was based on one in Salford, but my class (we left in 1973) from Manchester road secondary school (now Bedford high school) in Leigh did all the Rugby league sequences!

    Because Colin Welland was a teacher there before he became a playright.

    In fact you can recognise certain of the teachers from our school from the charecters portrayed in the play.

    i have found out it is the school on holland street, and that it may have been named "Miles Platting Secondary Modern" however there seems to be little to no information i can find out about what happened the the school its self.
