The Avengers Traitor In Zebra

For all you videotaped fans of The Avengers here we have another location, this time from the episode Traitor In Zebra. This could prove to be very difficult to locate, but logically it has to be somewhere near to Teddington Studios as it featured three of the cast actually on location. Unfortunately, a search on Google Earth of the surrounding area has brought no results...



1. Rankin (John Sharp) walks his dog to the sweet shop. The dog enters the shop where the assistant takes the note from it's collar.



2. Rankin moves off to stand beside a tree on the grassland opposite the shop.



3 & 4. Graham (William Gaunt) arrives and he also enteres the shop. Note the pond in the middle of the grassland, which should hopefully assist in identifying the location.



5. Later in the episode, Franks (Richard Leech) arrives crossing the grassland from another direction, using a footpath and he also enters the shop. Note the Morris 1000 Traveller in the background, also to be seen in shot 4. This looks like the one used in the episode by Mellors, suggesting that the vehicle was owned by one of the crew.

This is just a guess - but have a look at the locations used for the final season of Ace of Wands - Mama Doc, Beautiful People etc.

There does not seem to be much on the net with regard to locations for Ace Of Wands, but I do have someone who knows this show extremely well looking into it for me.
