First, the island.



It has to be on the Pembroke coast within easy sailing of Milford Haven (the boat used in the filming has an 'M' harbour registration number).



























Secondly, this airport

The BEA routemaster tells me it's Heathrow, in the days before train connections and the Airbus, until 1977 when the airport was finally connected with the tube you had to travel to Hounslow West (latterly Hatton Cross for the last two years) and queue up for a single-decker bus called the A1, and quite some queues there were at times.

The beach is Treath Llyfn near Abereiddy.











The house is Swyn-y-Don, near Trefin.
