auf wiedersehen pet series 2 ep 8

In this episode "Margery doesn't live here anymore", in the title sequence appear the following two scenes.[IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG] and[IMG][/IMG] I know Newcastle has been vastly redeveloped but I sort of remember these scenes (ie the buildings) from a visit many years ago. The viaduct in the second picture is presumably east of Central Station and the road bridge out of view in the first picture leads to the Tyne Bridge? Can anybody confirm the specific locations of the views in each case? (I have an old street map of Newcastle so you can use road names!) Thanks.

Sorry, I can't help specifically with street name(s) but it should be pretty easy

to find. Out of interest, Christopher Eccleston's character in Our Friends in the North

works in an office for the council and this specific location is used for that office.

The first picture is Akenside Hill with the Newcastle Arms (now Fever) on the left hand side. The second picture is Dean Street which leads down to the Quayside.

Does anyone know where the fishing trip was filmed, from "Auf Wiedersehen Pet" series one. There has been a suggestion part of it was done on the River Thames near Oxford? The pic of Moxie shows familiar metal posts in the background which fits in with the Thames.
