THE SAINT: The Invisible Millionaire (Jeremy Summers: Autumn 1962)
Nora Prescott walks from the pub to a boathouse to await Simon Templar’s visitation. Unfortunately, she is followed by a mysterious figure with evil intent.

I've had friends suggest Sonning and Bovney - but I'm still looking for confirmation. Here are some better grabs to help with the search.

It's not Boveney because there are no houses opposite the lock-keeper's cottage there and I don't think there ever have been.

Can one tell which is the upstream vs downstream ends of the lock in the photos by looking at the gates? Knowing this will at least give some indication as to which side of the river the lock is on.

Pictures 1 & 3 are Penton Hook Lock, near Chertsey.
This capture from the Sweeney episode Bad Apple (known to have been shot at Penton Hook) matches the buildings and trees from picture 1.

I can't find anything that positively links in picture 2

Yes. The gates will always point upstream so that the current will push them together rather than apart.

    Well done Alan,

I was thinking Penton Hook as well, but I could not match the mock-Tudor building - the Bad Apple grab is the clincher.

The middle photo could well be on another part of the river, the boat house was needed for the murder - the high bank with steps going down would suggest a bridge nearby.

    Found it!!
Picture 2 is Lower Sunbury, looking across the river to Sunbury Lock, and the shed is still there.

And the last one for The Invisible Millionaire is the corner of Hanover Square and Tenterden Street.

    Thanks Alan,

So the 3 meter drop is the down-stream end of Sunbury Lock!

    Well spotted,

Thanks also for the Hanover Square/Tenterden Street location.

I feel like I should be looking around the same area for this:

DANGER MAN: The Trap [/B](R. Pennington Richards: 1959)
John Drake travels by taxi to the apartment Liz Parish shares with Parish with Elizabeth Warren.

Good idea, try Cavendish Square/Cavendish Place/Chandos Street. You couldn't make that left turn today, you'd be up on the pavement.
