It has a 'look' of Trotters Bottom going from St. Albans road A1081, across the top of Dyrham Park heading towards the Barnet by pass A1, the car about to turn right may be coming from Dyrham Lane.

May not be, but worth a look.

I can't match anything at first look but..

The first use of the footage in R&H is the episode 'But What a Sweet Little Room' in a sequence that also features roads around North Mymms. If the back plates were shot specifically for this episode you may well have put your finger on the right area.

At the start of the first one there is a junction but it's difficult to tell if it's a T junction or crossroads but there appears to be a sign to the right of the shot. In that area I'd think of something like Baker Street as it has the right curvature prior to the junction and pre-M25 would have had the turning to the left for Bentley Heath Lane. There is also a slight hill as seen in the clip.

Here is a plate seen for a few seconds in '...Thicker than Water' which at least has some very good clues.

It runs a bit quick to be sure but the water on either side of the road reminds me of the footage used just prior to the "I'm going to shoot you McGill" sequence in Brainwash, although that obviously ends with a truck across the road. I think there's a lake visible in that sequence which might place it near Black Park?

Bloody hell - same footage, but the stock footage has the lake and the truck removed.

Well done Mariocki - spotting it in Brainwashed was indeed the key.

Springwell Lane as it is today (complete with stunt squirrel!)

The R&H house is visible at the start and the Brainwash lake section is at about 2:23.

I would not like to live on this road - very narrow with nowhere to pull over - certainly a heroic effort and very interesting to see how little it has changed.
