Sorry but couldn't find a suitable forum for this question...
Just hoping someone out there knows the answer. Ever Decreasing Circles starring Richard Briars.
Does anyone know the locations used in the series, especially the close they lived in?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

There's an even more detailed website here which gives a very good breakdown of the stories - but even that doesn't mention the location of "The Close".
It's a great series but I'd never been too keen on finding out where "The Close" was - it's the sort of place you'd want to stay away from in case Martin roped you in to one of his committees. But then again, living anywhere near Ann would be great.
Ah! Found another site which says that it was all filmed in Billingshurst, West Sussex. "The Close" is really Dell Lane, Paul's Salon was in the parade of shops next to the railway station.

Martins house will have the skip outside with the bike in it.
I can recommend The Mausoleum Club forum for archive television matters, especially british ones...many current and ex-industry professionals go on it...
For Howard and the cricket episode
Then ye returned to your trinkets; then ye contented your souls
With the flannelled fools at the wicket or the muddied oafs at the goals.
just had a look at one of the web sites and the comments on Ever Decreasing Circles has made me want to go and purchase it. I believe it is on special somewhere, great series
The episode when Anne is in hospital. You see an outside shot of a hospital. That hospital is St Ricahrds Hospital in Chichester.
We met Richard Briers at the NEC in Birmingham in 2010 and talked about "ever decreasing circles" Richard gave all the credit to the writers and cast saying how good they where. He was such a great actor to talk to when we met up with him, such a gentleman. We only went there to met him, sooo glad we did. A memory I will always treasure.

It's a wonderful series, just about perfect. Superb writing, great ensemble playing, clever plots. Maybe even better than "The Good Life"
A series I often return to and one that the scribblers who put together dross like "My Family" should have studied carefully before they put pen to paper

I adore this series, very clever writing and how a small situation builds up and up is terriffic
