I think the 'lane' shot may be a cemetery; with the posts being the entrance. Any help here would be appreciated, as I'm getting nowhere with these at all..........![]()
If only I could read that road sign? Looks like a mainish road into a country lane/park/wooded area?
And this run-by looks like Hammersmith, but I can't find it, and I've been up as far as Camden, and south to Battersea.

Hi 45Doyle
I have just started geting into these locations. What episode was the lane from?
lenny
Hi;
The lane was from the 1978 episode 'First Night'.
Hope you can help....the last part of the road sign defintely says '...........Road'

This has to be Ladbroke Grove area...I know the office block but can't place it. The street lighting matches the Kensal Road area...and note the 'school' sign. From the episode 'Backtrack'..1978/79.

Just a quick update on this thread - I have the Ladbroke Grove location, but am still stumped by (and going crazy looking for) the shots at the beginning of this post - the country lane and the Capri run-by?

Hi again Mr Doyle.
I'm pretty certain this shot looking down St Augustines Road NW1 towards it's junction with Agar Grove and Murray Street.
The building (Big One) in the background is Lulworth flats, the pub (the one behind the car) is the Murray Arms (?) and is still a pub today.
Have a look at Mutimap and see what you think.

I never saw your update on this post until now.
It's defo around Ladbroke Grove then?
Wow, have a look at my suggestion as well, it has a twin location in Camden!!![]()
Cheers GBC....Definitely looks pretty similar...

Don't think its St augustines Road, too hilly and yje houses don't have those 'grand' entrances.
Clue on the 'country lane' (1st image at the start of this thread)....they appear to be going over a stream/river bridge, at first I thought it was gated entrance, but it isn't, its definitely something like a stream/canal/sewage bridge.
Help! I've run out of wooded areas to check. It was originally scheduled for the 'old' Uxbridge ski-slopes (Park Road), but it maybe on-route, because it isn't in Uxbridge that I can see.

What about . . . . Montrose Avenue left into Silkstream Road up in Edgware, which as you know was a popular place for the Pro's?
I work just around the corner from there so I can check this out tomorrow.
Cheers guys...I can't check 'aerial maps' at the moment as on a mobile broad connection and to say things are slow is an understatement. Looks good on the A-Z.![]()
Looks like it’s your lucky day 45, your other car shot appears to be Burlington Road, Chiswick.
This is the west view, don’t confuse it with the similar pairing to the east![]()
..........
Extremely happy, and this is the first time in weeks I've had a smile on my face....thanks Alan F & GBC .

Hi Mr Doyle, I drove back via Montrose Avenue tonight, and I'm happy to inform you it's your 'country location', well Burnt Oak, Middlesex anyhow.
The railings between the two distinctive red posts are new, and the wooden fence is now attractive security railings, but what made me smile was your 'sign' that you could'nt read . . . the signs gone, but the two supporting posts are still there, rust and all!![]()
Spot on GBC:
and the evidence of the missing sign:

Excellent work guys, there really can't be many left to find now 45?
