Ive really been enjoying pouring over these old classics, and while there is adequate info on Actors, broadcast episodes etc on the net. I havent came across any info on locations. Does anyone on here have any idea where any of the outside scenes for episodes were shot? Im especially interested to know where the following were:



The Last Visitor (Patty Duke) Which seaside town?



Poor Butterfly Any of the roads where Measham House had once stood?



Somewhere in a Crowd The scene at the shipyard?



Or any of the others. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

Studio backlot footage includes:



When "Eve" is seen in the shop window - a prop window was set up in MGM's Rupert Square and a double decker bus driven round so it is reflected in the glass.



The 'shipyard' is shot between the woodworking shops and stage 10. The Fire Department building is the one dressed as a chandler's. There is one quick shot of ship being lauched, I'll post this up to be identified.

I've found the 'real' shipyard. The image seen on the screen is from 3rd November 1959. It is the launching of the Oriana at the Vickers-Armstrongs shipyards, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria . Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra christened the ship and Sir Benjamin Britten composed a special ditty for the occasion. Bad news for location spotters, she was scrapped in 2005.
