George Murcell has already walked across Mansion House Street (this footage is also used as stock in RANDALL AND HOPKIRK DECEASED).



We next see him walk past this branch of the Midland Bank (possibly 'MIDLAND BANK Stock Exchange Branch')







He then walks into 'the International Trust Bank'.

Would it be usual for a director to be invoved with this shooting as it featured the 'real' actor rather than than a double, or would it still be left to the Second Unit?



This sequence also features some action on the good old Elstree backlot with George (a multi millionaire) finding a newspaper in a rubbish bin and reading it.

This was a very entertaining episode John, with great performances by Isa Miranda and Peter Wyngarde (in a dual role). Any recollections you'd care to share ?

This sequence also features some action on the good old Elstree backlot with George (a multi millionaire) finding a newspaper in a rubbish bin and reading it.

Usually the director would handle the situation, if a main actor is involved. I do know of, and have been involved in situations when this did not happen.



The named director agrees to the situation because of time or money problems.

The first bank is probably best found by someone with access to a directory to see if there was there a MIDLAND BANK Stock Exchange Branch.
