Why didn't they just use Camber Sands?

I recently heard the comment 'Why didn't they just use Camber Sands?' about some exotic desert location shooting. This got me thinking, did this DANGER MAN episode Judgement Day use Camber Sands? I don't think any of the filming was done in Bir Azhad.



An aircraft flying from Amman to Bir Azhad has to make an emergency landing in the desert.



















The aircraft (G-AHHN, an Auster J/1 Autocrat) flies out of this airstrip.

Looks like Camber sands to me, Lydd airport is on it's doorstep so it all adds up.
