Robbie Coltrane TV filming?

Here's what I think is a tough one for you good people.



My other half lived in Rudyard Close, Wolverhampton about 10-12 years ago and vaguely remembers waking up to filming in the same road. She thinks Robbie Coltrane was involved and it could have been tv rather than film (hence in this forum). She also thinks filming took place inside and outside the property.



Do we have any coltrane fans on the forum?



Any help greatly appreciated.

I would imagine that would have been the TV series "Cracker", filmed around the Manchester area 12 years ago.

Wolverhampton isn't very close to Manchester (about 70 to 80 miles), so why would they be filming Cracker there?

It's all north of Watford so is all on that part of the map that is a bit fuzzy with "Here be Dragons" scrawled across it

Location, location, location! As long as the settings look realistic, it doesn't matter where things are shot. Do you seriously imagine Waterworld director Kevin Reynolds actually flooded the globe to make that movie or Ron Howard pushed Kurt Rusell into a burning building to make Backdraft?

Why not?, its more like 60 miles from Manchester to Wolverhampton and many "Cracker" locations were in South Manchester which would be even closer, its all up North in the Midlands anyhow....can't really see anything else from Robbie Coltrane's filmography that would tie in with that time and location, .....its just an educated guess on my part....
