This is not listed at IMDB (the title is in the 1939-1940 Motion Picture Almanac) and the film company is British National Film. Anyone know who is in this? plot? alternate title? Thank you!

Are you sure it's not 'The Common Ground?

I checked my notes - it looks like it's also referred to as The Common Round and the Proconsul.

I may have asked about this before quite awhile back but don't remember.

Maybe the Search option will refresh your memory? Good luck anyway. I'm watching The Beatles rooftop concert on You Tube at the moment (one more part to go). The 40th anniversary has just past here (12.11 AM) wheras in America it's still going. This is the most exciting music one can ever hear - good old Rock 'N' Roll!

The BBFC site (the film classification body) lets you search titles and other things and a search for the title "The Common Round" finds a 1936 title produced by Religious Films Ltd. No information about director, cast or plot. Just that it had a running time of about 33 minutes

But nothing else, in 1940 or nearby

If it was 1940 it answers one question - it certainly wasn't a tv show!

Many Thanks Steve, that might be it. The title appears in several filmographies of Torin's and it's remained a mystery to me. I have no clues who else is in it. I tried looking it up in one of the reference books at the UA library with no success. But this is a good lead, anyways.

Oh, the reason I brought up the title again, I was going through some information I wanted to submit to IMDB and came across this bit. I think this one will have to wait though.

    COMMON ROUND | colonialfilm

I cannot begin to describe my joy in being able to watch this movie short - the best birthday presents don't come wrapped up - an incredible treasure from J Arthur Rank.
