Hi.

Sorry, dunno if there has been a thread about this before but it is one of my favorite true life portrayals, anyone else admire this film and the actors in it? Daniel D L is very good in most things though, IMHO!

xx

I've often watched this. Superb work. Pete Postlethwaite = excellent as were Corin Redgrave, Beatie Edney, Gerard McSorley and Don Baker. I had to reserve judgement on Emma Thompson I'm afraid.
Even though filming didn't take place there (AFAIK Liverpool and Dublin were the main location) the Northern Ireland scenes were grim but excellent.

I've read one of the books written about the Guildford Four. I can dig the title out if you like?

If I wasn't meant to drive that fast, the pedal would stop half way!!

I didnt realise it was filmed there Chevyman!Oh yes, if you could find out the name of the book when you have time that would be great.

I also like DDL in my left foot, fabulous actor in that.

You've got PM

Kilmainham Jail in Dublin was used for the prison scenes.

DDL? One of our best Where do you stop? Gangs Of New York, The Boxer......so many. He seems to be getting a little busier of late too.

My Left Foot was a book I read before seeing the film....just for once

I was really excited after seeing the trailer for this film, but I found the actua l film to be a huge disappointment. The acting was OK but the script was very melodramatic and the direction patchy to say the least.

I wish I had claws.
