Has anyone ever watched this extremely forgotten film? Cut or Uncut.

Yes, I've the DVD. The film makes me intensely angry, sad and ultimately powerless as you quickly realize there can be no happy ending however much you root for the two dogs. Certainly not a film I'd show to children.

Get similar feelings when watching another animated film; When the Wind Blows.

Have you got the Region 4 uncut? The cut was an attempt to lessen the impact.

Now I hope I don't cop flak when I say this, but the ending may have been suggesting that all animals (including humans) may have to find peace in death, as the world is far too cruel and malicious to put hope into.

Such a masterpiece shouldn't be so forgotten.

Also, I have "When the Wind Blows" and while not as powerful, it is another powerfully bleak movie.
