Post Wicked Lady

Yes the Wicked Lady is a good film. One of the stars Griffith Jones died on 30/1/2007. Before the film could be released in the states some of Margaret Lockwood's scenes where her cleavage could be seen had to be reshot for the American market.

My friend Lawrie Knight used to drink with Griffith Jones. "Of course, they don't want sincere actors anymore!" Jones would complain after he'd had a few...

I'm a fan of Lockwood.

This movie is very very good! I have it on disc, but have seen it in the boxset of Lockwoods films, so will get that soon. James Mason and Patricia Roc are also very good in their roles.

Well, this is going to shock you, but I LOVE this film!

There's great chemistry between gorgeous Margaret Lockwood and fabulous James Mason, cracking supports by Patricia Roc and Michael Rennie, and Enid Stamp Taylor playing a brilliantly entertaining nemisis.

Ms Lockwood is deliciously wicked to the bitter end!

Add to that fab frocks, jewels and make-up and what more can you want?

It's a feast!

I love the way 'merrie' is used as a codeword for hanky-panky - 'here's to our next merrie meeting'.

Some more views of Blickling Hall. A friend of mine used to work there as a gardener.
