Christine -

One never knows...after all, isn't the land of Uncle Sam renowned for its variety of weird and wonderful cults ?

Who would have thought - all those years ago - that Benny Hill would ever have taken off there as he did ?

(The prosecution rests it's case, M'Lud.)

Seemingly not Will. I chanced across a US site last week and there was a feature on films unreleased on DVD. One listed was Oh, Mr Porter and the summary was 'thanks, but no thanks.'

Then again, they've given Adam Sandler a film career...

As they say in the financial services ads chaps, this was just for the purposes of illustration. Appreciation of comedians can go up and down ; there is no guarantee that things you find funny today shall remain funny for the duration of the comedian's lifetime...

I heard from somewhere (possibly this site) that Val Guest recorded a commentary for 'Oh, Mr. Porter!' when he was visiting London in 2004. Hopefully it will be part of the DVD box set if it ever materializes.
