One of the things I most like about 'Gregory's Girl' is the way Gregory
(the innocent male dupe...) is stitched up by the females and passed around from one girl to another in the closing scenes...

My favourite line: "You know, we girlies look after one another" !

The scenes with Gregory and his kid sister are also absolutely charming.

GG has some pretty unique touches. For me Bill Forsyth's use of visual gags ensure it stands apart.
I like the scene of Gregory waiting beneath the huge Shopping Mall clock for his date, constantly checking his watch, the lost penguin roaming the school corridors, the stocky pupil who is the Home Economics "specialist".

I remember it well and it was one of the films that inspired me to get into video/TV production... so much so that i stole a few ideas from these scenes for subsequent dramas I screenplayed and directed 15 years later. So I have a soft spot for GG.

PS the Shopping Mall clock currently sits in a store cupboard in the Cumbernauld shopping mall awaiting re-development.
