Plot SynopsisAn offbeat black comedy starring Dennis Price as Nigel Dennis, the editor of a celebrity exposé magazine entitled "The Naked Truth", in which the public can read all the latest scandal surrounding the lives of celebrities. He tries to blackmail a group of well-known figures rather than print their embarrassments in his magazine, Lord Henry Mayley (Terry-Thomas), who's a peer and insurance racketeer; Flora Ransom (Peggy Mount), a writer; Melissa Right (Shirley Eaton), a model; and Sonny MacGregor (Peter Sellers), a popular TV personality. They all try individually to bump off Price but fail. Eventually, after joining forces, they break him from jail to smuggle out f the country, fearful that he will tell their stories as part of his trial. During the final leg of the journey aboard a blimp, Price manages to accomplish by accident what his victims have been trying to do to him on purpose. |
