Plot Synopsis

From Gerald Thomas, legendary director of the Carry On series, comes this comedy caper starring Sid James, Dick Emery, Lance Percival and Sylvia Syms. Sid James plays the ill-named George Brain – the leader of a gang of inept criminals. After serving a 15-year prison sentence for a bungled bank robbery, George, Booky (Dick Emery), and Dipper (Lance Percival), return to recover the loot they stashed in an oak tree before capture. Unfortunately, during the intervening years, the tree is not the only thing to have grown; a police station has sprung up next to it. The gang rent two rooms at a nearby house and try various crazy schemes to recover their swag from the tree, always cautious that their fellow lodger Harold (Jim Dale), a policeman, doesn’t discover their true identities.
