Plot SynopsisDated crime drama set in the gloomy London underworld from the low-budget production company Butcher's. Two crooks, Johnny and Sam, rob a jewellery store, but get ambushed by some double-crossing gangsters whilst making their getaway. Sam is seriously injured, but Johnny (Spencer Teakle) escapes with a cluster of diamonds and finds himself on the run from the law and the ruthless gang leader, Ricky (Martin Benson). With his £60,000 booty, Johnny acquires some refuge at a nightclub in the company of two sisters; the kindly Jean (Felicity Young) and deceitful Mary (Dorinda Stevens). Realising he has been betrayed by his ex-girlfriend Sylvia (Dawn Brooks), Johnny and Jean go on the run when one of Ricky’s goons turns up in the morning. As they leave the city; the gangsters and police remain on their trail. |
