Plot SynopsisEarliest of two versions of Edgar Wallace’s play The Case of the Frightened Lady. The lady in question is Aisla (Belle Chrystall), unwilling guest at the home of Lord Lebanon (Emlyn Williams), whose domineering mother (Cathleen Nesbitt) wants them to marry. Two murders by strangulation bring Scotland Yard to the scene; a failed attempt to kill Aisla reveals the killer. |
