Plot Synopsis

A musical extravaganza spun around the talents of popular Cockney stars Violet Loraine and Gordon Harker, Miss Loraine plays the owner of a fish-and-chip shop in London’s Billingsgate who yearns to become a film star. Her fine singing voice brings her to the attention of a film company and the family’s lifestyle is soon to be transformed.
