Plot Synopsis

Anglo-Italian biopic loosely based on the life of famed Italian composer Vincenzo Bellini (Phillips Holmes). Studying music in Naples, he falls in love with Maddalena (Martha Eggerth). She is engaged to another and rebuffs his advances; fearing it might ruin her career. Bellini misinterprets her actions, not discovering her true feelings until after her death. He resolves that she will live on through his music.
