Plot SynopsisAtmospheric and suspenseful drama. A Canadian officer, McGrath (Douglass Montgomery,) escapes from a First World War PoW camp by stabbing a sentry to death with a set of wire cutters. After several narrow escapes, he reaches Berlin and is befriended by Anna (Constance Bennett), an attractive German streetwalker. The two propose to escape across the border to Holland together, but Anna’s lover, detective Goertz, is hot on their heels. |
