Plot SynopsisSnappy Aldwych farce. This film charts the adventures of retired Scotland Yard Inspector, Patrick Fitzpatrick (Tom Walls), who undertakes one last job just to anger his jealous successor (Ralph Lynn). Fitzpatrick is in search of a valuable vase that was stolen by a gang of crooks specialising in art treasures. The hunt leads to Wrotton Abbey, home of the mild and blameless Mr Pye (Robertson Hare), whose house, unknown to him, is being used by the gang as their headquarters. The Abbey is well packed with secret entrances, exits, trap doors and a well shaft which all play a part in the ensuing antics. |
