Plot Synopsis

Based on the play Pierre ou Jac by Francis de Croisset, this Jessie Matthews musical was a popular success although missing the light touch of director Victor Saville.

Set in Paris, American screen star Jeanne (Jessie Matthews) is loved by a radio engineer, Pierre (Robert Flemyng) but falls for idle womaniser Marcel (Louis Borell). But it's Pierre who helps her become a success on radio after Marccl has ditched her for a film star. After she has become famous, Marcel reappears and persuades her to 'come away' with him to Hollywood. Pierre turns up at the station, wins a terrific fight with Marcel and sweeps Jeanne back to Paris.
