Plot Synopsis

Thelma (Lois Maxwell), wife of guilty but insane killer Speight (Kieron Moore), assumes a new identity – known only to her employer Jerrard (Hugh Sinclair), and marries Victor (Bill Travers). Speight escapes from a mental institution to prove his innocence. Private detective Bishop (Paul Henreid) and his secretary Vera (Kay Kendall) find him, and discovering that he is sane, seek the real killer.
