Plot Synopsis

The Flanagan Boy featured Tony Wright as Johnny Flanagan, a merchant seaman who wins a fairground booth fight and is persuaded to become a professional boxer by Charlie Sullivan (John Slater), who introduces him to promoter Vecchi (Frederick Valk). Johnny passion for the blonde features of Vecchi’s wife Lorna (Barbara Payton) leads him into an affair with her, and eventually wrecks his career. After Lorna has told Johnny she is pregnant, she persuades him to kill her husband. Later, Johnny is driven to suicide when Lorna admits the pregnancy was a lie.
