Plot SynopsisGushingly sentimental drama based on the Catherine Cookson novel A Grand Man, starring Jacqueline Ryan, and co-starring her mother Kathleen. Steel worker Mike McNeil (John Gregson) young daughter Jacqueline (Jacqueline Ryan) vows to do whatever it takes to help her father battle his crippling addiction to drink, which spirals out of control when he loses his job due to vertigo at the Belfast shipyard. Luckily, her pluck and determination help convince a tough land-owner Lord (Liam Redmond) to give her down-on-his-luck dad another chance. |
