Not many people will know that I'm a huge fan of Javanese Gamelan music and Indonesian traditional music, but I am. Here's Sabilulungan, with Mojang Priangan (source unknown). Check out Javasounds record label, https://javasounds.bandcamp.com/.

Turning 60 hasn't dimmed my appreciation of new music. So we finish today with Momma, a Los Angeles trio who released one of the best albums of the year, Two Of Me (Danger Collective Records 2020). I've already posted the brilliant Double Dare, so we finish today with the official video for the excellent Biohazard, and then the acoustic & experimental Ready Runner. I love this album, hope you'll like them too. Buy here: https://mommaband.bandcamp.com/album/two-of-me. Until next week ...

We start today with a song a lot of us could empathise with. Crown Plaza are a modern indie pop band from Los Angeles. This is the official video for Staring At The Wall, from their self-titled debut LP Crown Plaza (self-released 2019), buy here: https://crownplaza.bandcamp.com/album/crown-plaza.

Next up, a delightful pop song from The Essex Green. Formed in 1997 in Burlington Vermont they moved to Brooklyn, and are a neo-psychedelic band influenced by 60/70s folk & pop, see https://www.essexgreen.com/. This is the official video for "The 710", from their fourth LP, the sardonically titled Hardly Electronic (Merge 2018). I love it.

We finish today with some remixed Japanese electronic & ambient dance tracks from the last three decades. Here's Mon and the Orte remix of Olololop and then Yoshio Ojima with the absolutely gorgeous and serene Sealed (beware false ending). Both can be found on the excellent compilation Oto No Wa: Selected Sounds of Japan 1988-2018 (Denmark only: Music For Dreams 2XLP/CD 2020), also available on Bandcamp here: https://musicfordreams.bandcamp.com/...apan-1988-2018. Until next week ...

Victim were a Belfast punk band formed in 1977 who relocated to Manchester in 1979, and released three singles. This is the second, Why Are Fire Engines Red (sic) (TJM Records 7" 1979). Red for fire perhaps? Trivia fact: The San Francisco Fire Department uses wooden ladders. Wooden! Sort of counter-intuitive, but it's true.
