  • Vic Damone R.I.P.

I was sorry to read that the singer Vic Damone has passed away aged 89. Great singer who recorded many wonderful songs.
    R.I.P. Vic.

Sad that he has gone, although 89 is a pretty good age to live to.

When I first heard of him, I thought his name was Victor Moan! He had a really lovely voice. Definitely not a moaner!
I didn't know his son with Pier Angeli, Perry died of lymphoma three years ago at the age of 59. That's tragic.

    Farewell, Vic Damone x

Listening to the Elaine Page on Radio 2 last Sunday, she mentioned Vic Damone who was very much admired by Frank Sinatra. Elaine played one of his hits and mentioned that he was still alive at 89 .He passed away the same day.

Stranger In Paradise from Kismit sung only by Vic Damone is my funeral song, as I leave this world and move on to the next. Now maybe I'll get to hear him sing it in person as I arrive.
