    up to 30 times worse.I did two journeys yesterday on the Northern and Central Lines and obviously did myself no good at all.

          The new sub-surface stock on the District line, etc; are air-conditioned, it is only a matter of time before the deep tubes will receive new stock, with a/c of course, as will the new Elizabeth line.

            It will not be possible for the deep tubes as you would have to build air shafts.

              That's a problem that LU have been wrestling with for decades, it has involved many fact finding trips around the globe for management executives.
              I am not sure if technologically we are now in a place to solve it.
