I notice in the 1956 version of Alfred Hitchcock’s, The man who knew too much, near the ending of the film, the opera in the Albert hall, Storm clouds cantata. Was that an original opera or was that specifically written for that film?

The IMDb Soundtrack section says that the Storm Cloud Cantata was written in 1934 by Arthur Benjamin and D.B. Wyndham-Lewis so I would say, no, it wasn’t written specifically for the film.

Wikipedia claims it was written for the original 1934 version.
