Blockbuster video shops

Here in Canada and the U.S.A. They were the largest outlet for video rentals. But, as times changed, they started to close their shops. Here in Canada they filed for bankruptcy. Eventually in the U.S.A., they closed down. Surprisingly one Blockbuster store remains in operation. Bend, Oregon is the location of the Blockbuster store. Here in my city only one video rental store is in operation, Bay video, located in the downtown area.

Blockbuster was big here in the UK too. IIRC, it was a bran h of Blockbuster where Tom Cruise was unable to rent a video until he could provide two forms of ID to fill out his membership application. He was probably married to Nicole Kidman at the time, living in the UK while filming.
