    What a great man he was. Imagine how many people in remote areas of the world were able to connect to the wider world through the wind-up radio, thanks to his vision.

      Being the kind of man he was (and what he was trying to achieve),he didn't bother much with the patent paperwork, the result was he lost control of it to clones and big business..Same thing happened with Penicillin ..Fleming wanted to give to the world but a US drug company just came along and slapped a patent on it and made a fortune.
      Luckily somebody had their eyes open when a US company wanted to 'patent' our DNA and knocked that idea firmly on the head.
