  • Michael Balfour

Michael Balfour had a very good career playing small time crooks or the hero's sidekick in over 200 film & TV appearances.

I just watched him in The Small Voice where he had quite a substantial role. He had the perfect face to play a heavy!

The last time I saw him on TV was back in the 80's when he was on a children's TV programme which showed him making

Toby Jug statues in his studio at home. I just can't recall which TV show it was.

I remember a feature on Michael's sculpture work on either 'Good Afternoon' or 'Afternoon Plus' - mid-afternoon fodder on ITV in the 1980s. I believe Mary Parkinson interviewed him, or it might have been Mavis Nicholson.
