Another thread originally created by cornershop on the old forum and strange things occur in the world of DOCTOR WHO as Craddock 1 meets Craddock 2 up on "The Wheel in Space":

Michael Goldie (Craddock in "The Dalek Invasion of Earth") has a tough time with Kenneth Watson (Craddock in Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.).

A man who thinks he is Sherlock Holmes (George C. Scott in They Might Be Giants (1971)) and a man who was Sherlock Holmes (Clive Brook in The Return of Sherlock Holmes (1929), Paramount on Parade (1930) and Sherlock Holmes (1932)) at either end of the table considering The List of Adrian Messenger in 1963 with Jacques Roux and Dana Wynter.

" The List of Adrian Messenger," an excellent film and fun to watch as the revelations roll in.

But in 1933, they were still The Good Companions.

Nicol Williamson and Douglas Wilmer have to deduce which of them was an ideal Holmes. As Nicol hadn't done his by then, I think Douglas must be the winner.

I just had a jolt watching "The Professionals" with Gary Waldhorn in bed with wife Kathleen Byron who was more than 20 years older than him.
          She looked like his mum!

John Mills and Howard Marion Crawford in Forever England (1935) and they both later played Doctor Watson. Earlier than the film, however, the actor playing the captain of Johnny's ship, H. G. Stoker, played Watson on stage. That's not old H. G. on banjo however!

I think that I put this on the original thread but I think the strange pairing of John Wayne and Oliver Hardy in The Fighting Kentuckian is worth another mention.

John Woodnutt and John Woodvine. I hope they didn't get "The Wrong-Un" for the right role.
