I like Diana Dors, she starred in a Steptoe And Son movie, she played a recently widowed woman whose deceased husband was still in her bed, and she tried it on with Harold, soooo funny!

Wolf Rilla taped a series of interviews with Diana Dors during the making of 'Bedtime with Rosie' - Dors put an injunction on the contents of the tapes being published.

Was this 'Behind Closed Dors' - published by Star a couple of years before 'Dors by Diana.' Rilla novels were published by Star.

The book by Wolf Rilla is called Dors & Diana. And on the cover is the tagline "The book she tried to stop".

This is good news. Diana has already got a plaque in Swindon where she was born. Kent Road.

That's right. Although the plaque was crowd funded, it was installed by Swindon Heritage.

Did it contain a lot of truth about her rather than her own version?

From what I've heard it contained similar stories as Dors by Diana, but I think she felt that if anyone was going to tell her story it had to be her.....Although Dors by Diana is a well written book, it has to be said that Diana Dors knew how to stretch a story, regardless if it was true or not..... with Dors by Diana, and her previous books, Behind Closed Dors and For Adults Only, she upset a great deal of people with the stories that she had written..... yet when she was written about in a book concerning the notorious London Landlord Peter Rachman, she went to court to get that book stopped. I think she won the case, but as the book was already in the shops, and a number had been sold, a disclaimer stating that Diana hadn't know Rachman, nor did she have any dealings with him, was attached to the cover...... She didn't like it when the boot was on the other foot.

Nice to read the news of the Blue Plaques for Diana. Had the pleasure of working with her for a few weeks in my younger years and she was very sweet to me leaving a lasting memory of her kindness. Shall be thinking of her on 11th Feb when you unveil the new plaque and well done for making it happen.

Good evening all! Just a quick reminder that this weekend will see a Heritage Foundation Blue Plaque unveiled commemorating Diana Dors at her former home, 10 Burnsall Street, Chelsea, London. It's just off the Kings Road. Sadly the Heritage Foundation lunch that follows the unveiling has had to be rescheduled - date to be confirmed via the Heritage Foundation.

I'm hoping that there maybe a couple of members within the forum that could assist me in my request, please. I'm looking for a number write-ups of films that Diana Dors appeared in, that were featured in Monthly Film Bulletin, and I was hoping that if it is at all possible that I could get a scan of the write-up. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance Sean

There was a story that she and her husband was partly responsible for the downfall of soft porn star Mary Millington (along with some others) and introduced her into drugs and adult parties shall we say.
