    Favourite American Actress.

My favourite American actress is Julia Roberts, i have most of her films, Mystic Pizza, Sleeping With The Enemy, Pretty Woman, Erin Brockervich, Pelican Brief, amongst others. I love to watch her as she has so much energy on screen, plus she's a beauty and i do like to have my hair like hers!

    Yes indeed, cully.

Too difficult to select just one. I'd like to suggest half a dozen personal favourites:

Drop dead gorgeous but with acting talent as well, I'd have to mention Michelle Pfeiffer: the first actress to have me leave the cinema lovestruck and desperate to find out more about her.

For sheer screen presence and intensity, the magnificent Bette Davis takes some beating; everything I've ever seen her in, I've enjoyed - and often thanks to her above all else.

Two doomed beauties with underrated comic timing/ability and iconic glamour: Marilyn Monroe and Carole Lombard.

Versatile, multi-award winning talent adept at both comedy and drama: Whoopi Goldberg

And possibly the one who has most impressed me; Sharon Stone, whose breathtaking range even within one film (Casino) veering from promiscuous party lush through neurotic virago to paranoid, drug riddled zombie astounded me...and that's before mentioning her sassy screen stealing in The Quick And The Dead or her smouldering seductiveness in Basic Instinct....a tremendous actress in my opinion.

Julie (Julia) Adams who starred in various westerns back in the 50's alongside the likes of Rock Hudson. James Stewart, Robert Ryan, Joel McCrea and more as well as being menaced by The Creature From The Black Lagoon has always been one of my favourites.. She has had a long career in both films and TV series. She is currently 91 years old.

If we ignore looks alone (there'd be too many!) and just go with acting talent, my favourite would have to be Jane Fonda, who has both.

Back in the late 1950s, I had a crush on Warner Bros. starlet Erin O’Brien. The fact that I was 12 and she was 22 didn’t seem to matter at the time.
