When I was a young lad he used to called 'Harbottle' in our household, but I can't remember why.....

I now remember ! He played George Harbottle in the BBC tv soap The Newcomers (1966)

A wonderful character actor. Loved him of course in Minder, but also as Frank Spencer's not surprisingly angry neighbour in Some Mothers Do 'Ave Em, as porn purveyor Albert Swift in Get Carter and as the confused Plod in the Ipcress File.

And Peter Cushing's dogged side kick who can't make a decent cup of tea in The Blood Beast Terror- I thought by your avatar, Tigon Man, you would have got that one.

Paxton I would have thought that Glynn or anyone else connected with Blood Beast Terror would quite happily omit it from their CV, it's dire...
Then Glynn went on to make Vernon Sewell's Burke and Hare, which was even worse!

Sadly, you're right. I like Sewell's earlier movies, particularly Man in the Back Seat (1961) and Strongroom (1962), he made some exceptionally good 'B' movies. By the time he landed on the horror genre, I think he had lost interest.
