    The actor Peter Sallis has died.
    Last of the Summer Wine actor Peter Sallis, voice actor in Wallace and Gromit, dies aged 96.

    Very sad news. Great comic actor who could also be nasty badddie too.

      Yes, sad news indeed. But 96 is a good innings. I shall always remember him in the title role of the 1958 BBC Television series THE DIARY OF SAMUEL PEPYS. I don't suppose that series still exists. Probably junked by the BBC decades ago. Rest In Peace.

        More sad news. I think he was in every episode of Last Of The Summer Wine. A good age at 96, but still sad.

              He was a wonderful Herr Shultz in the London premiere of Cabaret (opposite Judi Dench) in 1968.
