I rewatched Split Second fairly recently and it was a lot better than I remembered it - a film humorously aware of its own absurdity. Rutger Hauer also filmed scenes in London for Nighthawks, a cracking urban thriller starring Sylvester Stallone.

I watched "Escape From Sobibor" recently & harrowing though it is, Rutger Hauer was marvellous in it.
He was a tremendous actor & had a fine career. R.I.P.

For me, he will forever be Roy Batty in Bladerunner, but an actor with great depth and sensitivity

" I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die."
