  • The Day the Earth Caught Fire

Nothing on telly worth watching today. I watch two of my DVD’s The Day the Earth Caught Fire . It was in wide screen and I think it was in CinemaScope. The interesting thing about this film was, that some of the scenes were tint colour. Interesting end. Did man kind prevail, I think so, you could hear church bells ringing.

The ending was a bit ambiguous wasn't it?
The bells, could have just been tolling the end of the world
    Great film though.

Janet Munro was in this film. It was a pity she died at a young age. I think she was 38. Very talented actress.

A film that takes Soviet nuclear fear as its target, as it often does in the middle of the Cold War, but which ultimately turns into an aspect that is too current by speaking (unconsciously) of the damage that an increase in temperature on Earth could cause

Even in those day’s, 1960´s, climate change had been discussed. I guess no one listen. Now we definitely have to do something.
