The Go-Between & The Hireling

Hello there, I'm so glad that here in France we have simultaneously, few days ago the releases of those two films adapted from writer L.P Hartley: "The Go-Between" & "The Hireling"
"The Go-Between" is no less than my favourite Jo Losey movie and I can finaly watch "The Hireling" (Alan Bridges) with french subtitles !!
Both have a common theme, the difficulties and consequences for love to blossom between two people of different social classes. Sarah Miles and Robert Shaw have never been better.
The audio is in English, and I think the subtitles are optional.

Two excellent films. Poor old Leslie Hartley had so much trouble with staff/servants who always seem to take advantage of his somewhat submissive nature.
