  • Doctor Who - The Faceless Ones (1967)

After the success of the animated serial The Macra Terror, the BBC announce that the two survivng episodes of the Second Doctor (Patrick Troughton) serial The Faceless Ones will be released on DVD/Blu Ray with the other four episodes animated (in colour and black & white), see https://www.doctorwho.tv/news/?artic...to-be-released. I'm just imagining Gerald Lovell jumping up & down in excitement.

Actually, I'm not the greatest of fans of these animations, especially the "re-imaginings" like "The Macra Terror", which they produced in widescreen and colour and omitted scenes that were "too difficult". In the absence of recovery of the originals, I prefer telesnaps (where they are available) + soundtrack.
