  • 47 Meters Down

The first film shot at Pinewood's new Dominican Republic Studios, with the underwater scenes filmed in a somewhat less exotic Essex swimming pool, and 47 Meters Down has all the usual tension and shocks one expects from a shark movie. The film unfolds exactly as you might expect and, while it doesn't have the polish of The Shallows, the CGI is better than usual and Brit director Johannes Roberts knows how to stage a fright scene.

It's worth catching if you like this sort of stuff.

    Did you Know !

Jaws (1975) had one of it's famous scenes filmed in a swimming pool , the scene under Ben Gardner's boat , surprise .

I'm glad to see that it has been renamed 47 METRES DOWN for its UK release.

We pendants like things like that.

I entered 47 METRES DOWN in the IMDB website and it threw nothing up. I changed the spelling to METERS and hey presto, there it was.
