  • How were the Monthly Film Bulletin listings for all cinema films collated?

Did the BBFC help? Did distributors submit their films?

Most films have a press showing at which à press sheet continuent all credits would be supplied.
it was à useful journal of record, but i didnt agree with many of thé reviews.

There seem to be random accents appearing in your posts.

And there seemed to be an over-abundance of sex films listed in the MFB. Maybe the reviewers enjoyed watching them?

But surely some of the smaller distributors may have skipped on this.

                  I assume they do.

I was told that's why British film credits have a street address in them— and non-British films don't.

The BBFC said they weren't involved.
Do you know if the UK Film Distributor's Association around then to help?

Horror genre writer David McGillivray seems to have been the go to reviewer for a lot of films at the sleazier end of the market back in the 70's. He sat through a lot of heavily censored soft-core rubbish !

It was a hard job but someone had to do it.
Yes there were lots of sec films in those days. They all seem to be shown on London Live.
